Mark Billingham

Mark first joined the military back in 1983, passing selection into the Parachute Regiment after initially failing the medical tests due to the injury sustained to his legs. This set back did not phase Mark, instead he kept pushing until he was accepted into the force. As a member of the Parachute Regiment Mark was deployed on countless operational tours and also acted as a training instructor for budding recruits. In 1991 Mark decided to apply for a position in the SAS, passing selection to become a Mountain Troop Specialist. A role in which Mark experienced some of the most hostile environments known to man, he gained invaluable knowledge of planning and executing strategic feats which he is able to transfer into his proficiency as a public speaker.

Certified and experienced in counter-terrorist sniper instruction, ice climbing instruction, jungle warfare, combat survival, trauma life support, patrol medicine and advanced evasive driving instruction there is little that Mark does not hold expertise in. Mark has trained globally, experiencing the environments of Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa and South America. Upon leaving the armed forces, Mark dedicated his time to the bodyguard protection of A list celebrities. From the likes of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to Jude Law, Kate Moss and Tom Cruise, Mark has utilised his previous experience of high-pressure environments to protect some of the world's biggest stars. Mark is now a member of the Channel 4 programme SAS: Who Dares Wins featuring along with the likes of Jason Fox, Ollie Ollerton, Colin Maclachlan and Jamie Morton.

Alongside featuring on SAS: Who Dares Wins, Mark has also forged a reputation as a popular public speaker. Delivering motivational speeches to sell-out audiences, Mark is the perfect choice as a military speaker for a range of corporate events. Mark is a pivotal figure of bravery, having previously been awarded the Queen's Commendation for Bravery and an MBE for his services.
