Dana Plato was known for her role as Kimberly Drummond in Different Strokes. After leaving the cast of Different Strokes, Plato attempted to establish herself as a working actress, with mixed success.She took her life in May 1999 using the painkiller Lortab and muscle-relaxant Soma.
