Brady stalks a man who insulted Lou, and goes with Deborah to attend the grave of his father and brother. Meanwhile, Bill and Janey draw closer.

Bill take a statement from Elizabeth during one of her good days, and she recognizes him from the 2009 investigation. Meanwhile, Brady gets an exciting new job opportunity.

Janey's mother ends up in the hospital, and Bill meets Janey's niece Holly. Meanwhile, Brady begins to feel the pressure during his interview with the corporate men, after Deb decides to clean up her life and goes for a drive.

Brady has Al pay Montez a video and leaves a calling card. Lou takes control of her life, Bill tells Holly that he put Finders Keepers in danger, and Felix tries to get through to Brady before Montez shuts him down.

Felix tries to get Brady to communicate to stop Montez from shutting down his operation, and Cora tells her husband the truth about the drug tests. Jerome makes an admission to Bill and Holly, and Bill makes an admission to Ida.

Bill and Donna plan a trip to Ireland, and Ida goes on a date. Holly receives a package, and Al pays Bill a visit after giving his brother Reggie a haircut.

Bill is sent to the hospital after Al's attack. Meanwhile, Felix tries to stop Antonio and Pettimore from transferring Brady out of his care, and Cora has bad news for her husband.

After escaping the hospital, Brady goes to the Babineaus and claims that he's a changed man. He then turns himself into the police, which begin investigating Bill.

Brady gets his day in court, and his attorney claims that he's a changed man... literally.

While Lou stands trial for Brady's murder, Bill takes on the case of a local author he admired who was murdered during a home invasion.

Morris meets with the woman who told him about John's money, and Antonio convinces Bill to take on a new case. Judge Raines makes an unexpected ruling in Lou's case.

Bill and Roland convince Holly to visit Lou and provide moral support as Lou's competency exam approaches. Jerome learns an interesting fact about one of Rothstein's former girlfriends, and Danielle learns about Morris cheating on her with Alma.

As Lou's case goes to trial, Lou further loses her grip on sanity. Jerome looks for the John Doe patient, while Bill and Holly worry that Lou isn't looking good. Morris wonders where Danielle went, and he and Alma move in on the Saubers.

Sarah calls Bill to the stand before Roland can, and Holly worries that her testimony won't help Lou. Alma approaches Marjorie to find the missing money, while Morris approaches Bill and Holly.

Holly and Lou testify in court, while Morris' plan to frighten Peter doesn't go as planned. Alma gets closer to Marjorie, and Bill breaks down after a call from his daughter.

Alma pays Andrew a visit when Morris gets nowhere with the bookstore owner. Lou's trial comes to a close, and Bill warns Tom that Peter is in over his head.

Holly takes on a questionable roommate; after receiving an unexpected visitor, Ida seeks advice from Hodges; Alma and Morris decide they need more leverage.

Bill and Jerome close in on Rothstein's killer, and Bill is dismayed when he learns about Holly's inheritance. Lou takes a job at Finders Keepers, and Alma and Marjorie have a heart-to-heart.

Bill gets a visit from his daughter, who has news for him. Peter tries to negotiate with Morris, who is still reeling after what happened to Alma.
