A favorite list to navigate easier to shows/people etc

I've looked at the preferences, Watchlist or follow doesn't seem to do that, but maybe i'm missing something ? I went back a few pages to see if it was suggested, i couldn't find the topic, sorry if someone did already. I also looked at the pending stuff and i could find it.

But for contributors, it would be nice to have an easy way to get to the shows they edit, it would be nice even for the people who don't contribute.
This is an image from tv.com. If I click on my avatar, this is what appears. The following column has all the shows i "follow" and i can click on any of them and it would take me directly to it. It would be a great addition however you do it, whether hovering on "Shows" or something similar to what tvrage had (through the menu "links, which i didn't like at all, they had something similar to tv.com earlier and that was faster).
I know developpers usually don't like to be shown something else but i don't think i could describe it with words and be understood.

i'm adding the link http://postimg.org/image/7582qozyz/ just in case the image doesn't appear.
EDIT : even though the image shown when i pasted the direct link to it while writing the message, it didn't appear when i posted the message. (Maybe something to look into)

You can use tags, but I am not sure if that is what you want.

cheers
Juan

No, that's not it.
I'm talking about a scroll down menu or a menu that appears with a list of the shows you "follow/like" which makes it getting faster to the shows instead of searching it through the search bar. Because that's the only way to get to shows on the site right now in a fast way. Clicking on username, then on watchlist and maybe get to the show i want to get to is not fast. Search bar is the only option right now.
I'm thinking in terms of people like Gadfly or Queenie who contribute to shows and must get to them in a round about way. Search is fine, that menu would be a great addition is all and was/is very useful. Search does the trick, but it's longer.

Hi Tonks,

Are you talking about this.

Click on your usename, then click on Dashboard. Once that screen comes up you will see Follow. If you click on that then you will see all of you shows that you have followed.

Hope this helps you.

Thanks

No, if it were, i would have said so. It's not "fast". Just look at the link in the first message. If you've never been to tv.com, just sign in it's free, and add a bunch of shows, it's always on top of each page, something like a heart or a "follow" like here. Then, click on your username or avatar if you have one and look the the colum that appears. What you are telling me is to go to my username, find the dashboard, then follow or tags, or watchlists. Either options is too slow. Don't think you delete your account, you might be able to, what i do when i try something, is forget about it if i don't liek it. Which is looking more and more like it's going to be what happens here for me.

If you "follow" shows/persons to edit them and not use the site as a just calendar, that would be a very useful feature.

I am not sure if I understand you the right way, but are you saying it is too much work to go to the drop down menu of your username and click on "Dashboard" ?

If this is really too much of a burden, then it probably is better for you to use another site on the vast internet :)

There's as well an option to filter shows you are following only and that just takes two clicks dude, not that slow! (in the show or person section)

Well, there is slow and slow :D. Search bar is faster for me than profile, dashboard and tag/sfollow. I write faster than i click :p But that scroll down menu would be faster than either options. It was a suggestion.

It sounded more like a demand from our point of view rather than a suggestion, but clicking two more times shouldn't be so difficult or time consuming. It is not like you are going to click it every five minute or so.

Ever thought about , that it is your attitude that drives us off a tiny, tiny bit ?

Every other user here is asking nicely to have a feature added that they would see, you on the other hand, demand it and in the same sentence you say that our site isn't good enough for you anyways.

My question is, if you do not like the site (which is no problem at all), why do you keep coming back with that attitude, why don't you visit the sites that fit your needs and help out there ?

Really makes no sense to me.

There must be something lost in translation. "It would be nice if something was..." isn't a demand for me. It's a proposal, an idea ? Then I had replies asking if I were talking about something and i answered everytime and explaining what i was talking about. I'm really sorry, i think you're projecting aggression on everything I write and there is nothing i can do about this. But it was not a demand. If you combine the replies i can see where you get that "demand" and i apologize for this. But that wasn't my intent.
"It is not like you are going to click it every five minute or so." You're right. Like I said the search bar is faster for me than what you guys suggested and that is in place. We get acclimated to everything in the end. And we do with what we have.

Maybe I am just getting a bad vibe, sometimes alot can get lost while writing in a forum.

But so far I see it like you come here , saying this is not good, that is not good, your site is nothing for me anyways, other sites are far superior and so on.

If you look at almost all other request that people make around here, they have a way different vibe, everyone is friendly, nicely suggesting, people say thank you after we fix mistakes, add new features.

And as it seems Thomas is getting that vibe from your posts too, so I really do not know if you will be happy here. You said yourself for your needs you know better places to go, why don't you just go there and use them then ?

That's what i do not understand.

cheers
Juan

Anyway I think David or Jan could tell you more about this and if it is doable in current lay-out :)
