Watchlist sorted by most recently aired + not viewed episode

Now it's confusing, because you see episodes from years ago (from series you haven't watched that far) betweed series you're watching now
It would be nice if the algorithm also took into account if you watched that episode allready, so it was sorted on the most recently aired dates of the watched episodes (like you had on MyEpisodes.com)

Doesn't the "watched most recently" sort option do exactly what you mean?

No, that shows the series that I've most recently been watching

This is what I now have via the "Aired most recently" sort:
Marvel's Agents of SHIELD Sep 29, 2015
NCIS Oct 28, 2003
NCIS Nov 4, 2003
NCIS Nov 18, 2003
NCIS: LA Sep 22, 2009
NCIS: LA Sep 29, 2009
NCIS: LA Oct 6, 2009
De Bunker Sep 28, 2015
Scorpion Sep 28, 2015

And this is what I would like to have (like you have/had with MyEpisodes):
Marvel's Agents of SHIELD Sep 29, 2015
De Bunker Sep 28, 2015
Scorpion Sep 28, 2015
NCIS: LA Sep 22, 2009
NCIS: LA Sep 29, 2009
NCIS: LA Oct 6, 2009
NCIS Oct 28, 2003
NCIS Nov 4, 2003
NCIS Nov 18, 2003

I don't mind that there are more than 1 episode per show, but it annoys me that they're in order of the newest episode's air time and not in order of the last viewed episode air time

Aired most recently checks the air date of the last aired episode. So if you are catching up on a show it looks a bit weird indeed.

You could work around this with different tags I guess?

I think rescripting the function is maybe a better idea...
It stays the same for people who are up to date, but it gets better for people who are catching up.

If any help is needed in rescripting the function, I'm happy to help you guys with this!
