Combine Total Drama Seasons

alrightchill wrote 2 years ago: 1

Even though each season of Total Drama has its own season name they all fall under the "Total Drama" series. It would be better to see each season combined under the series name.

So it would look like:

Season 1: Island, Season 2: Action, Season 3: World Tour, Season 4: Revenge of the Island, Season 5: All-Stars and Pahkitew Island.

But the Ridonculous Race would still be on its own since it's a spin-off.

I searched for the show, we actually have 8 different ones. Do you have an official source that says it is all one show with several seasons?

If you look at the about section on the total drama website http://www.totaldramaofficial.com/?fbclid=IwAR2O1fqd1MAIf74xnYjm9ePrNbgRXEy80qX-5BOhotQIqn3Rs1OVx05Lz7g they refer to total drama island as their first season and that the total drama series is on its 7th season.

For less official sources, Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Total_Drama) combines the first five seasons under the total drama series name, IMDB (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1173427/) also combines those first five seasons and then of course on Netflix they have all the seasons under one title page.

Apologies for necroposting, but will this still be done at some point?

As per this article, it should be:

Season 1 - Total Drama Island

Season 2 - Total Drama Action

Season 3 - Total Drama World Tour

Season 4 - Revenge of the Island

Season 5 (part 1) - All-Stars

Season 5 (part 2) - Pahkitew Island

Spinoff series (keep separate) - The Ridonculous Race

Spinoff series (keep separate) - Total DramaRama

2023 reboot (keep separate) - Total Drama Island

Merging in progress, will probably finish it later today.

I noticed that the main network is set to Cartoon Network Canada at the moment.

1. Should it be set to US dates or Canadian dates? It is primarily a Canadian show/production, but looking through Wikipedia, it has flip-flopped throughout the different seasons as to whether it was aired in the US or Canada first.

2. It it should use the Canadian network/dates, Teletoon would actually be the correct network. However...

3. As of just this past February, the Teletoon channel was rebranded to Cartoon Network- more info on this can be seen here on Wikipedia- so I'm not quite sure how that would be handled.

Ok then, here is a source for all the US airdates:

http://www.thefutoncritic.com/showatch/total-drama/listings/

And here is a source regarding the closure of Teletoon:

https://www.cartoonbrew.com/tv/teletoon-cartoon-network-boomerang-corus-entertainment-226200.html

I have no idea (other than Wikipedia) where one could source the Canadian airdates, and my 3 things I mentioned still remain.

@CosmicHowl As per the above mentioned, should we instead be using US network/dates if we don't have sourcing for the Canadian airdates?

Nah that's not what we do at all - if we know the show originally premiered on a Canadian network wed leave the dates blank if theirs no reputable source to use.

I've not finished working on this show so your questions are a little early..

The pre-existing separate shows, that have merged into one Total Drama listing, were created in 2015 on TVmaze and use the Canadian airdates. Apart from season 3 Canada premiered first. Cartoon Network Canada (formerly Teletoon) is the correct network. Canadian airdates have been sourced and I'm still confirming everything is correct.
