Inconsistent episode numbering in Kodi

MrBlurb wrote 2 years ago: 1

I use Kodi for consuming my media and the indexing of a show called One Piece does not behave as expected when TVmaze is used as information provider.

One Piece episode numbering, like some other animes, are usually done in sequence from the start of the show, not from the start of each Season.
For example, Season 1 would be episode 1-61 and Season 2 episodes 62-135.

Kodi (TVmaze as information provider) seems to understand this for Season 2 but not for Season 3 and later and I can't understand why since there are no reference to those episode numbers on this site as far as I can see.

Can anyone please explain the reason for this inconsistency and perhaps let me know how I (or someone else) can fix it?

Indeed, TVmaze itself doesn't provide any "continuous numbering", this is calculated on Kodi's end.

I don't know why it would work for season 2 and not season 3 though. @romanvm, any idea?

Sorry for the late reply, I usually don't visit TVmaze very often. Would you mind opening an issue here: https://github.com/romanvm/kodi.tvmaze/issues with all the info including the show name and file naming convention. And a debug log recorded during scanning will also help: https://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Easy
