Third notice for uploading low-res pictures

puffosul posted 2 years ago

This is the third time I noticed you're not uploading pictures the highest resolution available as stated in https://www.tvmaze.com/faqs/9/data-policies

I gave you instructions on how to do that, but seems I'm just being ignored and you continue to do that.

Low resolution pictures

Again, this picture you've uploaded https://www.tvmaze.com/images/842707/the-nome-inees-are-image-842707 350x197px does not meet the site requirements. If you modify the picture thumbnail link from discovery website https://api.discovery.com/v1/images/60e8e1bcd66492762d142922?aspectRatio=16x9&width=768&key=3020a40c2356a645b4b4 by replacing 768 with 1920 you will get a high resolution picture. You can always see the resolution of a picture, before uploading, by opening the link in a new tab.

Please don't upload pictures in low resolution, anymore.

Pictures in full resolution

Hi, thanks for your contributions, I notice tho, you're not uploading images in high resolution:

https://www.tvmaze.com/images/832964/earth-wind-fire-donuts-image-832964 (579x325px)

The official site has this image listed https://cdn1.edgedatg.com/aws/v2/abc/HoleyMoley/video/304/1d46be5535d2c063cb3cb020ee66e2bf/579x325-Q100_1d46be5535d2c063cb3cb020ee66e2bf.jpg and if you replace 579x325 with 1920x1080 in the link you will get the FullHD resolution picture.

There is also a guideline about how to get the largest available images from different sites https://www.tvmaze.com/faq/39/how-to-get-the-largest-available-images-from-different-websites

All the best,

Hi Bob,

I've deleted several photos for now as you uploaded banners/backgrounds as Posters, please be aware that those are not meant to be added as poster, so please avoid it and only upload those who are true posters in regards to our policy.

Thanks,
