Or good for that matter. Pun aside, I've started watching Superstore and found moments of it to be funny but it still has a lot of kinks to work out. For those of you who don't know what Superstore is check out the trailer below:
I've seen a number of comparisons made to The Office, which makes sense to me. Amy, America Ferrera, and Jonah, Ben Feldman, seem to have a Pam and Jim thing going on. There have also been some comparisons made between the type of character Dina is, Lauren Ash, and Dwight Schrute, which I also agree with.
However, the cast is pretty diverse and benefits greatly from Colton Dunn who plays Garrett. He was also in Parks and Recreation as Brett and employee of Animal Control. He stole the scenes in Parks and Rec and he accomplishes the same thing in Superstore and I think it's because of his background in comedy. His delivery is spot on and he doesn't appear to just be saying the lines as many of the characters do.
Glenn, played by Mark McKinney, is also quite hilarious. His voice is disturbing but he plays his character to a t. While not as good as Colton Dunn, I think McKinney does give a fantastic performance.
The cut scenes are also quite hilarious often showing two kids tooling around in a car or a man desperately trying to find an appropriate toothbrush. They are random, appear to be well thought out and often cohesive to the show overall.
Overall, this show needs to find itself. Like Parks and Rec, The Office, and Scrubs the actors need to find their characters and become them. They just need to spend more time with their characters and work on their overall comedic timing. The show would also benefit from revealing more information about the characters outside the store, which they are slowly revealing and is a great direction that they are moving in.
In conclusion, this show has some great characters within it but would benefit from more plot cohesion, some comedic understanding by the main characters, and more Garrett.

It's the perfect 20 min show. It reminds me of The Office (US) quite a bit. By "a bit" I mean a lot. (Which is probably why I adore this show so much. If you enjoy The Office, you will definitely like this show. Once you are a couple episodes in, it gets really good. A handful of the characters' attributes on Superstore is influenced by those in The Office. (You will definitely see the resemblance if you watch.) So if you are still reminiscing the show (The Office), Superstore will satisfy your need. (Although it is not filmed documentary style.) America Ferrera and Ben Feldman have a great connection on screen.
There are shows you love, there are shows you enjoy watching, I don't love this on and I don't watch it immediately, but I do enjoy it and it's better than others, so I'll keep watching it too.
can u actually watch shows from this site? I dont even know what this site is or does..can someone explain to me please and thank you
I actually love this show. Of course it is not as good as The Office but I like it because I can just sit and enjoy, laugh and watch it without having to deal with the serious topics.
As silly sitcoms go, I actually like this one. It's great to just kick back and have a chuckle. I think it's a show that tries to make fun of itself.
Found this article very helpful, now I know not to waste time on this one. Thanks
Personally, the show comes across to me as a mixture of a number of things including the movie Employee of the Month (2006). The humour is intentionally outrageous and, yes, the show is imperfect. That said, it's nice to have extreme off-the-wall short comedies to kick back and watch when one isn't in the mood to watch a very deep show with long story arcs, drama, etc. It's a nice quick break from the norm which is exactly why I happen to enjoy watching it.
When you just want to kick back and watch some "silly", this show works for me. It's a welcome departure from crime, violence and sex. Sometimes...
Having only watched a few episodes of Superstore so far, it seems like a cute show for the most part. I will continue watching this show for now.
This show is awful. It is the American version of Trollied from the UK but even worse. Trollied is quite bad too. I give this a one and done.
