Rei Ayanami

Rei is the blue haired child of Gendo. She is emancipated, not unlike when Shinji was. Her actual origins are a mystery, and might even be a clone of Yui when she was a young child. After that, she went throught Gene Therapy do resemble Yui even more, and to be the best Pilot with the best control of her emotions. She was killed by Naoko; the Rei we see is the second version of her. This Rei dies as well, and is replaced by another clone. She is aware of N.E.R.V.'s secrets, and is able to utilize them, and betray Gendo. She is called Wondergirl by Asuka; and has a very cold personality unlike the hot headed red haired Asuka. The only time that Rei speaks up is in battle, where she is frequently placed in command as team leader. Rei successfully takes on Lilith in order to save the earth, with help from Shinji.
