Beth comes to life in front of Kima under the influence of weed. She see her in the mascot of a tub of cottage cheese who talk to her.
Beth is based on the very real Elizabeth Peratrovich who was an American civil rights activist, Grand President of the Alaska Native Sisterhood, and a Tlingit who worked for equality on behalf of Alaska Natives.
