Joel Kim Booster is a Chicago-bred comedian, writer, and actor best known for writing and starring in Fire Island, a modern reimagining of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. The film earned two Emmy nominations, won the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Film – Streaming/TV, and received a Best First Screenplay nomination at the Independent Spirit Awards. He also stars alongside Maya Rudolph in Apple TV+'s Loot and hosts Bravo's new reality dating series Love Hotel.
His debut hour-long comedy special, Joel Kim Booster: Psychosexual, was nominated for a Critics Choice Award and named one of Variety's Best Comedy Specials of the Year.
