The unnamed sonographer at Hotten General Hospital carried out examinations for two expectant residents from Emmerdale: in January 2008, she conducted a scan of Perdita Hyde-Sinclair's baby (carried by Katie Sugden through surrogacy). Two months later, Katie and Perdy's husband Grayson returned for a second scan, and discovered that they were having a boy. The sonographer also examined Nicola De Souza twice in May and June 2009 when she was expecting Jimmy King's baby.
