June Phillips was the mother of Joanne Phillips, the childhood best friend of Ella Forster (formerly Ruth Davies), who Ella unintentionally killed in 2005 on the day of her 11th birthday.
In May 2024, Ella visited June, who was living in a care home and was suffering from dementia. The next day, Ella went back to visit June again, but was heartbroken when the receptionist informed her that June had died from a suspected heart attack.
