Adam John Barton is the son of James and Moira Barton, although it was always assumed that he was the son of James' brother John. He has three half-siblings on his mother's side, Holly, Matty (formerly known as Hannah) and Isaac and three half-brothers on his father's side Pete, Ross and Finn. He is the ex husband of Victoria Sugden.
