Francine Desmond

Francine is a long time worker at International Federal Film, who dates men to get top secret information. She is an expert markswoman and knowledgeable about government procedure, and lets all of this go to her head. Her job rewards her with her own spending account so she can go to numerous diplomatic ceremonies. She is not so good at disguises, nor thinking quickly and unconventionally, and resents Amanda for getting more Field Assignments instead of her. In another episode, she confesses to Amanda that she also greatly worries about Amanda getting killed in action, and they mostly reconcile. Francine is also annoyed when her telephone operator refused to relay a message from Amanda. Francine, along with Lee, lends Amanda their security clearances before Amanda officially got hers. Amanda particularly enjoyed posing as Francine, which made Francine cringe, but she got used to it. In Season Four, when Kate Jackson became ill, Francine was given numerous Field Assignments.
