Owl

Owl, sometimes spelled Wol, is a live animal character that was given a plush toy. He is a singer, chestnut farmer, tea enthusiast, and keeps the Hundred Acre Wood safe. Owl is one of two characters that kept their same voice actor the entire time, the other being Piglet. Hal Smith had previously took over the voice of Winnie. During this time Winnie sounded as stern as Owl. However, perhaps due to Hal Smith's age, was unable to commit both voices regularly. Indeed, Owl did not appear nearly as often, and since Hal Smith died before Boo To You Too Winnie The Pooh was completed, Owl continued to be absent. He is one of two characters that boast about their relatives, the other being Gopher, and these relatives visit, and have speaking roles. He is a part of three characters (Gopher and Rabbit) that since they are live animals, have the ability to learn skills easily. However, Owl's wisdom is greatly exaggerated. He says that one of Christopher Robin's messages is a secret recipe for Coconut Cream Pie. When Owl said he is ready to sing in The Evening Chorus, it showed that there is a very large population of residents in The Hundred Acre Wood.
