Vinton is one of Thelma's sons. He is divorced from his first wife and has two children, a daughter, and son. His former wife moved to a Casino to be a Cocktail Waitress, which is inspired from a popular game show known as Gambit that moved to Las Vegas. He and the children moved in with Thelma, which caused both her and Aunt Fran stress. Vinton is an expert locksmith. He also remarried to former neighbour Naomi and has a third child and second daughter. Vinton is portrayed by Ken Berry, who previously took over Philip from Roddy McDowall. A new character was created to avoid confusion.
