Sam Dullard, now known as Squid, is the host of Rocket Power. A Synonym for Squid in this context is Squirrel, a very unstable athletic performer. His parents, both executives, are not together any more. His mother decided to move to California in the same location that The Rockets and The Rodriguez Family lives regularly. There is also The Stimpletons, a retired Engineer and Botanist, that he looks up towards since they have similar skills, talents, and abilities. Tito does not approve that Sam is the new Squid, as Tito him self used to be The Squid. Despite no direct relation to each other, Tito passes down some of his surf boards that Tito outgrown. Since they have similar physiques, Tito teaches him skills necessary to surf despite being a different build. It is this build that caused Sam to be the host of the show. Since Rocket Power is seen from his perspective, any person can learn new skills, in this case very healthy athletic skills, despite being quite ordinary. Sam also has close connections with his father, that being his father is The Big Guy, and Sam is The Little Guy. However, it is not unlike Pulling Teeth to get him to take a vacation with his son. Additional skills that Sam has is an expert Goalie. He can stop any object with minimal effort. He is also a valued member of The Zine, as he has Audio Visual Skills and Computer Skills and Publishing Skills. And since he is usually very cautious, he gets along fabulously with the Straight Man character, Otto's sister Reggie. Sam and Reggie usually team up with each other when the four practice.
