Aramaki, Daisuke

Lieutenant Colonel Aramaki, Daisuke or just "The Chief", and occasionally "The Big Ape", and "Old Man", is The Major's boss and the coordinator of Public Security Section 9, and the Japan Ground Self Defense Force. They are a highly developed team assigned to keep Japan from being attacked. The Chief is responsible for the success of the team. Each success deserves a reward of increased budget. They utilize various air craft, Tachikomas, computers, telecommunications, and medical facilities. This budget also includes any other travel related expense when on assignment. The Chief is a cordial and diplomatic man who can barely tolerate Bureaucrats and corruption. He was previously divorced; One episode a lady friend suggests he get remarried. He also looks after the team. The Chief him self has minimal Cybernetic Implants which gives him the ability to communicate with his team and interface with computers. His position in Public Security Section 9 gives the team, who are in some cases fully prosthetic, what they need to survive. Public Security Section 9 has achieved a level of autonomy; When Togusa was being targeted by a lawsuit fraud, The Chief authorized a strategic car crash which resulted in the hospitalization of both the "victim" and the victim's attorney.
