Danny's father Neal is a long distance truck driver. Neal is a loving father, but frequently butts heads with Danny; resenting his son for taking up all the energy in the family. He is passionate about his working class roots and curses the upper classes with which Danny begins spending all his time. He's the only one in the family to worry about Danny not succeeding, though Danny sees this as a lack of support.
