Jen is an overachiever determined to get things right as she tries to prove to her traditional Chinese family (and herself) that she can make it on her own. Sheltered by an Asian tiger-mom, Jen is finally free in the real world and is equally anxious and eager to experience her first milestones: first apartment, first tax season and first dead rat clogging the pipes. Jen struggles on an endless job hunt, trying to find the perfect life she knows waits on the other side of the Tinder-dating-Craigslist-hawking-bed-bug-fighting rainbow.
