Her alter ego Angelique is bold, confident and seductive but away from the brothel, the real Angela is gentle, loving and somewhat vulnerable in her youthful naivety. She's fallen deeply in unrequited love with her neighbour Simon. He has always treated her with the utmost respect and inspired her to question things and believe in herself. He has a tendency to take care of her.
