Wes is a mutant with the ability to cast realistic illusions of anything that he has seen or can imagine. He's powerful enough to create an illusion of an object going in two different directions, while rendering the real object "invisible" by disguising it with an illusion of empty space.
After Wes' parents discovered that he was a mutant and kicked him out, he joined up with a street gang and used his powers to cover up their criminal activities.
