The Clarkson's live in a lovely little heritage home that on the surface seems charming. The two daughters have the upstairs bedrooms which they keep tidy and, in general, the family presents a lovely picture to their friends and family. But there is a catch. No one is ever allowed "downstairs." That is where Heidi and Bud live – in another world – allowing their daughters to live in the "nice part" of the house.
