In Lüneburg, inspectors Thorsten Falke and Julia Grosz are checking the identity of a man who is suspected of having been a member of a militia who committed war crimes. As part of the investigation, a witness is fatally injured when she is accessed. Two shots were fired from Falke's gun. He and his colleague Grosz come under suspicion and have to face internal investigations. But there are also others who have had an interest in the death of the young woman.
