Mali is in a rush to make a picnic, and Grandma Zainab urges him to take a little more time. At the library Zainab suggests that Mali check out a book telling the story of the the hare and the tortoise, but Mali thinks the old fable is silly. However, when Mali challenges his gran to a race home, he gets more than he bargained for. Will Mali learn that fast isn't always best?
