Thirteen years after the original series run, the next mind-bending chapter of the thrilling series THE X-FILES has arrived. Fox Mulder and Dana Scully have been contacted by Tad O'Malley, a popular conspiracy theorist web-TV show host who believes he has uncovered a significant government conspiracy. With the assistance of FBI Asst. Dir. Walter Skinner, O'Malley seeks to enlist the help of former X-Files agents Mulder and Scully, who have since severed ties with the FBI. Through O'Malley they are introduced to Sveta, a possible alien abductee who shares shocking information with them that will challenge everything that Mulder has ever believed about the existence of aliens and the government's role in covering them up.

I was thrilled about the coming back of the series. Sadly it seems that doesnt apply for David Duchovny and Gilian Anderson. No nerve in their acting (especially from DD), the whole thing looked like a chore to them.Such a pity because the script is interesting but the performance ruins it all ...

Consideremos que pasaron 13 años... es obvio que estén un poco oxidados.
Ahora, el segundo episodio me gusto mucho mas. En mi opinión estuvo al nivel de las primeras temporadas.
Algo que disfrute fue que hayan dejado el mismo intro de siempre, genial.

It's good, not great, just good. Like good friends who have been away for a while and just kind of appear back in your life. Gotta say that the plot alludes to all current discussions and 'conspiracy theories' and ties them all together quite nicely. Mulder and Scully slip back into play like a pair of comfortable old slippers. The only negative I see is that Season 10 will go no further. It would seem that Chris Carter has a few cards up his sleeve yet!
Not sure about all the dialogue, tho .. That whole "I want to believe" convo they had was painful to watch.
I was pleased that they all seemed to slide pretty seamlessly back into character. For such a prolonged time away from this show it had to be difficult.
