Upon learning that Kapaev's former partner, Captain Grinelnik, is still serving in the traffic police, Reckless meets with him and immediately realizes that he is deliberately hiding the truth about his comrade. Reckless decides to follow Grinelnik, but is forced to distract himself by solving the problems of Alice, who quarreled with Vadik. After sending his daughter to the hotel, the Reckless Driver barely manages to get to the traffic police post in order to save the life of a Loafer, who is attacked by one of the bandits nicknamed Diathesis. Next, Valentina Taverdina falls into the hands of a Reckless Man, who went to the rescue of her accomplice. But the last member of the gang is still hiding from the police in the countryside. Having learned the address from Grinelnik, Dauntless and Semenov are sent to be detained.
