Usually Murdoch Mysteries is pretty good about keeping close to the timeline, but this was pretty anachronistic.
Milgram's shock experiments began in the 1961 and were a reaction to the Nazi war trials and trying to understand how someone could follow an order to inflict pain on others. They gave no earlier context on what might have inspired these experiments to begin in 1910 instead.
