One Japanese researcher is tackling this profound mystery: Dr. Norio Narita, a planetary scientist and an astrobiologist at the University of Tokyo's Komaba Institute for Science. Narita has developed a state-of-the-art spectroscopic camera that enables analysis of the atmospheric components of exoplanets.
