The formation and success of the top-flight division after breaking away from the rest of the English Football League in 1992 and the selling of the live TV rights to Sky. In 1991 a secret plot was hatched by a group of five tightly knit club chairmen to form an elite breakaway league, while media tycoon Rupert Murdoch spotted an opportunity.
