The World's Most Expensive Sheepdogs

Sheepdogs from Wales are commanding the global market with dogs being exported to buyers in Korea, America, Italy and Spain. Farmers have used sheepdogs to shepherd the hills of Wales for generations. Recently, the demand for these sheepdogs from Wales has exploded, and so have the prices. These dogs now regularly sell for the same price as a family car.

Erinna Rogers, a hill farmer from the Elan Valley, follows some of Wales's most influential and world-record-breaking sheepdog trainers who have been integral to the online auction craze - Kevin Evans from Libanus and Dewi Jenkins from Talybont.
