In Morpeth, solicitor and town mayor David Bawn executes an unusual will for a deceased client, Liz. Later in her life, Liz had decided to leave a life-changing amount of money to a young woman who worked at a hotel Liz frequently stayed at. David must deliver the surprising news and carry out Liz's last remaining wishes.
Elsewhere, ambitious couple Janice and Rob decide to take the plunge and uproot to the North Tyneside area to start their own business.
