Shortly before the end of their time together in Rosenheim, inspectors Laura and Thomas Schmidt have to deal with a mysterious case: a dead man is found in front of their office door. Who is the man? His papers identify him as a Spanish citizen named José Barthol. But there are doubts as to whether this is his true identity.
