Flüchtige Spuren

After an anonymous tip, a 17-year-old is found dead in a holiday apartment. Now it is up to Chief Prosecutor Reuther to find out why the girl had to die. Rabea Finck was reported missing three days earlier. The suspicion of a kidnapping is obvious, even if there was no ransom claim. When Julia Schröder and Alexander Witte deliver the death message to the father, they learn that he is being threatened. A monetary claim seems to be the motive for the kidnapping, since Dennis Finck says there is nothing to be fetched. The commissioners learn that the Fincks have recently had stress with their neighbor Stefanie Gerber, who constantly complained about Rabea. Above all, Ms. Gerber seems to have had a thorn in her side that Rabea was with her son Tobias.
Is she possibly behind the anonymous threats? Another trail leads to Robin Weißenborn, who rented the apartment where the victim was held. As luck would have it, Weißenborn works in Dennis Finck's cell phone shop, of all places, and investigators soon find clues to crooked business. The question soon arises as to what connection there is between Fincks Handyladen and Simone Voss, who runs a bar in the city. To solve this complicated case, Bernd Reuther and the investigators have to find answers to many open questions.
