Travelling to the archipelago of Cape Verde, 350 miles off the coast of West Africa, Jane uncovers the unspoilt island of Sal. Exploring the laid-back area by bike, she experiences a mirage, goes fishing for a feast, and works out with at a beach gym, before floating her cares away in a salt lake in the centre of a volcano.
