Japanese Prime Minister Attacked: Looking into the Security and Motives

On the morning of April 15 when Prime Minister Kishida Fumio was about to make a speech, an explosive device was thrown at the venue. Police arrested a 24-year-old suspect on the spot on suspicion of forcible obstruction of business. The explosive appears to have been a homemade bomb. Following the attack in which former Prime Minister Abe Shinzo died last year, there has been another incident targeting a high-ranking politician.
