In University Hospital Coventry resus, the emergency medics act quickly to get him ready for surgery. Forty-four-year-old Rodger's paramotor crashed into the ground at speed, fracturing his pelvic bone and shattering his thigh bone into pieces. He's taken into theatre for complex surgery, requiring the skills of the trauma and orthopaedic and plastic surgery teams.
