Zhenya is 16 years old and was born in the small village of Russkaya Polyana, just 45 kilometres from the Chinese border. She grew up in a large family with many children, and she had to take care of dinner for everyone and the vegetable garden.
But one day Zhenya manages to get out of her mother's and grandfather's clutches and move to the city. There she falls in love with Zoir from Tajikistan and soon finds out that she is pregnant by him...
