This documentary series is set in Cork over one night. What happens when dusk falls and the evening opens out ahead? Shift workers prepare for their next stint, in bars and clubs, hospital and restaurants, building security, fire stations and factories. Gardaí Shane McCarthy and Barra O'Shea patrol the streets, ready for whatever action unfolds. Over in the Imperial hotel manager Íde Breathnach leads her staff through a busy night and Brian Desmond begins his late night in the Heineken Brewery.
