Murder in Green Bay

Episode 16 examines the 1986 murder of a young mother Lisa Holstead from Michigan. Her case remained unsolved for decades as the investigators in the 80s didn't have the tools to solve it, despite collecting a significant amount of DNA. 14 years on, forensics helped to eliminate Lisa's boyfriend as a suspect and a male suspect profile was developed. Sadly, it had no matches in the database and Lisa's family had to wait another two decades for answers which came with the arrival of forensic investigative genetic genealogy.
