Severe summer weather wreaked havoc across the United States over the weekend, with parts of the Midwest getting hammered by torrential rain and some parts of the west coast of Florida seeing up to eight inches of rain. The Wisconsin State Fair was shut down due to flooded parking lots after other parts of the state were soaked with a record 14 inches in 24 hours. Ahead of a summit between President Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Friday, Trump suggested Ukraine will have to give up land for peace. President Donald Trump ordered the deployment nearly 500 federal law enforcement officers around Washington, D.C, over the weekend. He justified the move by setting the need to tackle persistent crime in the nation's capital, but D.C.'s police data shows violent crime is down 26% compared to last year. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the public about his plans to expand military operations in Gaza, defending the move saying he remains focused in bringing hostages home. "Our goal is not to occupy Gaza. Our goal is to free Gaza, free it from Hamas terrorists," he says.
