Authorities announced they arrested a suspect in the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk after a 33-hour manhunt. Law enforcement sources said the suspect's family turned him in – after his father informed a minister. NBC News' Morgan Chesky reports. The Department of Homeland Security says ICE officers near Chicago tried stopping a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Silverio Villegas-Gonzalez but say he "refused to follow law enforcements commands and drove his car at law enforcement officers" dragging one "a significant distance". ICE says Villegas-Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the hospital, while the officer sustained serious injuries but is now in stable condition. NBC News' Maggie Vespa reports. The campus of the University of Colorado Boulder was evacuated due to a bomb threat. The school later determined it was a hoax. The U.S. Naval Academy was locked down after an online threat.
