British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is set to announce that the United Kingdom will formally recognize a Palestinian state, joining countries like France and Canada. The United States, which stands by Israel, opposed the decision and revoked the visa that would have allowed Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to attend the United Nations General Assembly in person.
