If Rodrigo grants Spain's claim legitimate, King Ferdinand will offer Princess Maria Enriques de Luna's hand in marriage to Juan. Rodrigo uses a compass, to divide the New World between Spain and Portugal, clearly favoring Spain, while appearing neutral.
