When Miss Rottenmeier's childhood sweetheart , Frederich, gets a job as Grandfathers assistant she pretends not to know him and insists she and Clara leave at once, as such Heidi and Clara make a plan to miss the train and get into quite a bit of trouble in the process forcing Miss Rottenmeier to work with Friedrich to rescue them.
