AXN (short for Action Extreme Network) is a pay television channel owned by Sony Pictures Television, which was first launched on June 22, 1997. The network is now spread across several parts of the world, including Europe, Japan, other parts of Asia and Latin America. Funded through advertising and subscription fees, AXN delivers 24 hours a day of action and crime TV series, movies, animations and adventure-reality and lifestyle sports programs.
