TRUE CRIME Reveals 'Cold Cases Reopened' returns for Series 2, April 6

TRUE CRIME, the leading channel in the UK specialising in crime documentary content among adults, has announced the launch of two new and three returning original series this spring. These series offer insightful and thoughtful investigations into a range of complex murder cases, from UK rural crimes to the role of wealth in driving violence, the pivotal role of video footage in solving high-profile cases, and the personal stories of detectives who solved cold cases once thought unsolvable. The channel’s favourite presenters Donal MacIntyre and Dr Julia Shaw are returning this season too.

Returning to TRUE CRIME this spring is “Cold Cases Reopened”, premiering on 6 April. This true crime series delves into cases that have remained unsolved for three years or more, classified as ‘cold cases’. It reveals how investigators crack these perplexing cases open, using cutting-edge forensic technology, fresh leads, or traditional detective work. Each episode focuses on a different case, with insights from detectives, family members, and investigative journalists. The series combines crime scene photos, police interview footage, and revisits key locations to show how the investigations unfolded and ultimately led to justice.

All four series will premiere on TRUE CRIME in spring 2025, with episodes available for streaming on WATCH FREE UK after their linear broadcast and on TRUE CRIME UK via ITVX.
