“Our alliance with the Republic of Panama reaffirms our commitment to honoring the strengths of Latin American countries, which form the foundation of our community, values, and traditions. Panama's strategic location, vibrant culture, and rich ethnic diversity stand out as key hub for investment, tourism, and international business. We are excited to host Premios Juventud in Panama this September, as part of our Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations, showcasing everything the country has to offer to the world,” said Ignacio Meyer, president of Univision Networks Group at TelevisaUnivision. "Premios Juventud celebrates the music, culture, energy, and contributions of our younger generations, and this year, we are particularly proud to honor the remarkable contributions of Panamanian music icons, whose talents have created a legacy that continues inspiring audiences today."
Gloria de León, Minister of Tourism, said: “Hosting Premios Juventud in Panama is a milestone for our country and an invaluable boost for tourism. This is not just any event: we are talking about one of the most influential awards in the Hispanic world, connecting with millions of young people across the continent. Panama hosting the event this year is a clear statement that we are a vibrant, modern, and dynamic destination. From the Tourism Authority, we celebrate this great opportunity because it means global exposure for our landscapes, culture, gastronomy, and hospitality. Every image that comes from Panama in this broadcast will be an open invitation to the world to come and discover us. I am deeply moved to see our country shine before so many eyes. This platform not only gives us visibility but also energizes our tourism economy and solidifies Panama as the ideal venue for major international events. Today, more than ever, Panama feels young, diverse, and ready to welcome the world with open arms.”
“The celebration of Premios Juventud in Panama is a powerful affirmation of the leading role our youth plays in the cultural transformation of the region. It is a clear sign of trust in our country as a creative, vibrant epicenter full of possibilities. This international recognition highlights the strength of our identity, the richness of our artistic expressions, and the dynamism of a new generation that builds with courage, imagination, and commitment. Panamanian and Latin American youth will find here a space to shine, to share their voices, and to strengthen the connection between cultures, musical genres, and unifying causes," said Maruja Herrera, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Panama. “Panama welcomes this event with open arms, reaffirming its vision of culture as a right, a driver of human development, and a tool to strengthen the social fabric. From our traditions to our innovations, this will be a stage that inspires, unites, and celebrates the diversity that defines us. We are thrilled to host this great Latin American celebration. In every chord, every word, every step on the stage, you will feel the heartbeat of a country that believes in the power of youth, in the strength of art, and culture as a path toward a more just, creative, and humane future. Because art unites us and culture enriches us. Latin America is heard, seen, and felt through Premios Juventud, and this year, it vibrates from Panama.”
This year, the graphic design for Premios Juventud is inspired by Mola, a traditional hand-crafted textile art from Panama that is an essential part of the clothing worn by the indigenous Guna women. Eduardo Bragin, a talented Panamanian artist from TelevisaUnivision’s Art Department, created the key art and logo for the event, incorporating elements of Mola art and successfully blending cultural heritage with a modern and playful style that perfectly represents the PJ brand.
